In June 2009, fourteen men step in the squared circle with dreams of boxing glory but only one would come out on top. Warren Porter (4-0, 2 KO) of Doaktown New Brunswick was crowned the Next Great Heavyweight champion tonight in dramatic fashion with a second round knockout victory over Julien Collette (3-1, 1 KO) in front of sold out crowd at CEPS U de M Moncton. Porter had the distinct honours of having living legend George Chuvalo place the belt around his waste.
